The problem
When milling MDF (medium density fiber board) using a CNC, you are confronted with loads of dust to hoover away. The standard old household hoovering machines I used, filled up so quickly (and lost suction power because of that), that I had to find a solution for this dust clogging nightmare.
The solution
I bought myself a cheap vacuum cleaner intended to clean stoves, a 30L aluminum can with a closable lid and a cyclone (brand: Dust Commander, available in Europe). I milled a few parts to allow mounting the cyclone on top of the can, and to fix the vacuum cleaner and the can on a platform with some wheels under it. The ensemble cost me about 100EUR.

It works perfectly. Almost all of the dust stays within the aluminum can. I can recommend this kind of setup to any wood worker.
